  To be fair, my rating here is directed towards the service on the mortgage portion of Midfirst Bank. I banked at Midfirst for a little over 10 years with great service on the traditional banking side. Seeing as how this bank had earned my trust, I thought the mortgage portion would follow suit. I was sorely mistaken. I was paired with a mortgage guy who I never actually got to meet, in fact he no call no showed at my closing, and this is after telling me he would be there. Highly recommended looking elsewhere. Being a first time home buyer, I had my fair share of questions that were handled over the phone, and to be fair, the representative handled the questions decently and had most the answers to my questions. The one thing I kept requesting was an in person meeting, but it seemed to keep getting bumped for some excuse or the other by this guy (over about a month period), so we communicated all necessary paperwork by phone and email. This should have raised my shady alarm, but I suppose I am too trusting. The rep assured me that we would meet at least once in person to go over everything, but it never happened. Fast forward to closing day, the rep assures me that he will be there. Nope. No call. No sign of him. So I call him while I am at the closing office to find out if he is coming. The answer I got was not only a no, but a kind of a "that's your problem attitude" with zero ownership of the bail. Needless to say I was livid, especially on a day that can already be nerve-racking. All that to say I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for your lending needs! Signed Former Customer
